FIFA World Cup So Far
Well, the last two weeks could not have been a better time for me to be at home! World Cup 2006 is on and its awesome! Almost every match is exciting, even yesterday's no-card, no-goal Ukraine-Switzerland which was decided by penalty shots. "Sasha", my "tezka" saved the day by saving all penalty shots against him. What a goalie! He remindes me of Chanov, possibly one of the greatest goalies ever to lead Dinamo Kiev from the back.
Special mention has to be given to Ghana for the way they played with extreme enthusiasm and lightning break-aways to create scoring chances. Unfortunately for them, Brazil was a little too much to handle today and red card to Gyan in the very end sealed possibility of advencement. One more match today, Spain-France will play Brazil and 2 days of rest before the quarterfinals!

I Quit!
I quit my job today. I am starting a new job in a little over 2 weeks and gave my 2 week notice today. After my exit interview with the "Big Boss" as my manager called the CTO, the "Little Boss" as then he has to refere to himself called me into the office and said that they will pay for 2 weeks, but do not require my services any longer. Basically I got a 2 weeks paid vacation. Thanks guys! I even offered to have turnover meetings and write documentation that will surely save them huge amounts of time trying to figure out the projects I was working. The answer I got was "We got it". You got it? Have at it! This further reinforced my thinking that I am making a right step. How could I ever think that I could work for these people, I don't know, but 4 years later and 14 years older I am finally out of there. Can't say that without sadness, I am going to miss most of the people I worked with over the years, but a dead end is a dead end and I choose another road.
